The "purrfect winter storm" is one that comes in, covers the Realm with a soft blanket of snow, and begins melting almost immediately! </FONT></div> <bR> <div>      It started snowing early Thursday morning with very tiny flakes that were coming down like rain.  By mid-afternoon, the "downpour" lessened up a lot leaving about five inches of the white fluffy stuff covering Thisildo Realm.</div> <bR> <div>      The urge to build a SnowGal was all over me! I haven't really played in the snow for years so this urge came as a complete surprise and the more I thought about it, the more I got behind it! I gathered up my supplies - a hat, a scarf, and of course, a carrot. Then I bundled up and headed outdoors to do the deed.</div> <bR> <div>      The original plan was to build a big SnowGal - there was certainly enough of the white fluffy stuff for my plans. Of course we all know about "plans"! The snow was not good for even making a snow ball -- it was fluffy and dry. Getting it to stick together was a real chore. We gots us a SnowGal! LOL And not a moment too soon! The snow starts falling again so it's time to get inside and warm up by baking some cookies. </div> <bR> <div>      Darkness has settled on the Realm and it's time for a potty call for the fur kids...</div> <bR> <div>      The SnowGal is about twenty feet or so from the porch. Now these girls watched me build her and griped about it the whole time; y'see mom was playing and all they could do was watch! They KNOW she's there! But... all of a sudden they spot this "thing" standing in the yard just at the edge of the porch light.<FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#336633" FACE="Trebuchet MS" > </FONT></div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <IMG SRC="b472c260.jpg" border=0 width="300" height="294" ALT="The SnowGal at 10:50 PM" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <bR> <div>      Both heads go down, ears go back and crouching stance is achieved. They have the leads stretched full out to either side of me and they're gonna attack this thing from both sides!!! OMG girls, it's the SnowGal for crying out loud! <giggle> </div> <bR> <div>      Buffy is gonna try to skirt around it just as far as she can get. Billie is holding back to see what Buffy thinks. I keep walking toward it. Buffy is really getting nervous about this "new thing" but ventures close enough to sniff - with neck stretched as far as it can possibly stretch without getting "too close" (ya just never know what these SnowGals are likely to do!) I'm laughing so hard I can hardly see through the tears in my eyes! </div> <bR> <div>      Well.... it's been snowing since the SnowGal was built so there's a layer of loose snow on her... so it's sniff > sneeze > sniff > sneeze! Meanwhile, Billie determines she's gonna get to the "bottom" of this and comes around the back side of the SnowGal and starts sniffing at her butt!! That tears it! My knees give out and I'm down on the ground busting a gut laughing!</div> <div>  </div> <div>      Finally the reason for going outside dawns on these two mental giants and they decide to leave the SnowGal for more important tasks but they make very certain to give this thing with no scent a wide berth on the way back to the house - she's just a nothing on the way to something else! ;o)<FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#336633" FACE="Trebuchet MS" > </FONT></div> </tD> </tR> </TABLE></div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
