After working with an HTML editor for several years, I've decided to "expand my horizons" and learn HTML. I've been dragging my feet about learning this since I first discovered the Internet and personal websites. I learned a few programming languages in college, and they nearly obsolete before I even finished the classes, so the thought of learning "yet another" one that was probably going to be obsolete just about the time I got on handle on it, was not encouraging me!</div> <bR> <div>      I was told, just look at the source codes and you'll be able to learn it... I don't think so! LOL Looking at the source codes left me babbling and cross-eyed! </div> <bR> <div>      I continued to struggle on, using editors and templates - which are wonderful in their own rights! I would not even have a site if not for the editors and templates! But now, I'm looking for something that I have more control over.</div> <bR> <div>      I want to be able to *do* more with Thisildo Realm than the editors and templates allow. I want more control over where my images show up and how the Realm is viewed by visitors.</div> <bR> <div>      Soooo... I took the leap and signed up for HTML 101 at <A HREF="http://www.webtechu.com" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="http://www.webtechu.com"><U>WebTech University</U></A>! </div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <A HREF="http://www.webtechu.com" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="http://www.webtechu.com"><U><IMG SRC="b96d43c0.jpg" border=0 width="468" height="60" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></U></A></div> <bR> <div>      My first class started 15 March 2004. I very nearly dropped out because I'd managed to hurt my back and with the pain medication, I was pretty close to being certifiably stupid! <grin> Instead, I figured I'd at least give it a shot and if it proved to be too much, then drop out and try again later.</div> <bR> <div>      Happily, I quickly learned that it was decidedly not "too much"! I was truly surprised at the ease of the course! Now, this isn't to say that I'm a proficient webmaster! Whew, got a looooong way to go before I can cross that bridge. Answering every lame question I tossed and patiently leading me through my errors. Six Stringz made it effortless for me to learn this new language.
